- Built-in SSD
- 256GB
| Term | Price (USD) |
|---|---|
| Day | $20.5 |
| Week | $55.3 |
| Month | $102.4 |
| Quarter | $278.5 |
Rent a dedicated physical Mac mini by the day and pay only for the time you need. Renew when your term ends. All prices are in USD, starting at $20.5/day.
Commit 16 is a good fit for building a single app and everyday development. For more memory to run workloads in parallel or MLX inference on the machine, consider Commit 24. Both are M4 physical nodes, not shared virtual machines.
Ready in about 15 minutes after payment. Check the console for live availability.
Choose the term that fits how long you need the machine. Full prices for both configurations are listed below.
Each configuration includes its listed storage capacity. Add an SSD when ordering if you need extra room for large models or build artifacts. Use the controls below to highlight a rental term; all four prices remain visible for comparison.

More headroom for simulators, containers and inference workloads, with less need to clear your development environment.

Both configurations are available across the six nodes listed below. “Available” is the catalog status; check the console for live availability.
Start with a daily rental for a short task. If you need the machine for longer, compare the weekly, monthly and quarterly prices. The chip, memory and built-in SSD stay the same for every term.
Choose a daily rental and avoid paying upfront for time you may not need. Commit 16 is $20.5/day and Commit 24 is $41.4/day. Your rental ends with the selected term once release testing is complete.
Weekly rental is $55.3 for Commit 16 and $111.7 for Commit 24. If you would otherwise rent by the day for a full week, the weekly rate costs less than the daily total.
Monthly rental is $102.4 for Commit 16 and $206.9 for Commit 24, both less than renting by the day for a full month. For longer jobs, compare the quarterly rate too.
Quarterly prices: $278.5 for Commit 16 and $562.8 for Commit 24. Choose the term that matches your expected usage; there is no need to pay for unused time just to get a lower rate for a longer term.
The included storage stays the same; additional SSD capacity is priced separately. Add storage or Thunderbolt connectivity when you know what your models, build cache or connected devices require. The table lists prices for all four rental terms.
| Add-on | Day | Week | Month | Quarter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +1TB SSDFor models, caches and project files | $2.9 | $7.9 | $14.7 | $40 |
| +2TB SSDFor larger models and multiple projects | $5.8 | $15.8 | $29.4 | $80 |
| Thunderbolt 5 daisy chainPriced per machine | $1.5 | $3.9 | $7.3 | $19.9 |
For example, if you rent the machine monthly, add-ons are charged at the monthly rate too. Review each item and the total due before placing your order.
Start by listing the tasks you expect to run at the same time, then decide whether you need more memory or storage. These suggestions are a starting point; the resources required for builds and inference depend on your project.
Build a single app with xcodebuild, package releases with fastlane or run one build pipeline for a short period. Start with the included storage and see how it goes.
Keep Xcode and simulators running alongside Docker or OrbStack. If you run several workloads in parallel and want to keep containers running during builds, consider more memory.
For running MLX locally with a larger context, check the model’s memory requirements first. If you need to keep several model files on disk, consider an SSD add-on.
This comparison looks at how you get access to a machine; it does not assume that different services offer equivalent performance. If your task has a firm deadline, consider setup time and whether the machine is dedicated. If it will run at capacity year-round, buying may also be worth evaluating.
| Factor | Dedicated physical machine rental | Buy Mac mini hardware | Shared virtual machine |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | From $20.5/day, billed for the term you choose | Upfront purchase, plus ongoing ownership and depreciation | May cost less to get started, but computing resources are shared |
| Setup | About 15 minutes after payment | Purchasing and delivery usually take several days | Usually available to create immediately |
| Resources | One order gives you one dedicated physical Mac mini | The buyer has use of the entire machine | Host resources are shared with other tenants |
| Changing specs | Switch configurations later and add an SSD from the catalog | Changing configurations usually means buying new hardware | Configuration and hardware capabilities depend on the host environment |
VMCommit provides dedicated physical machines, not virtual machines. SSH and VNC connect to your rented node. Before connecting for the first time, see the quickstart guide.
Commit 16 and Commit 24 are available in Singapore, Japan (Tokyo), South Korea (Seoul), Hong Kong, the US East Coast and the US West Coast. Choose a node based on where your team works and connects from. Check the console for live availability.

All prices are listed in US dollars (USD). Pay with USDT-TRC20 or Visa, Mastercard or Amex through Stripe. Available payment options are confirmed by the checkout interface.
Choose a configuration, node, rental term and any add-ons, then review your order total and pay. Your rental term starts when the machine is delivered, not when you view the pricing page.
Manage existing orders in the console. Check the end date and back up your data before your current term ends. An upgrade involves a new configuration; refer to the order details shown in the console.
Yes. Daily rental is the shortest option: $20.5/day for Commit 16 or $41.4/day for Commit 24. If your task takes longer, check renewal options and your current order’s end date in the console.
Don’t use the machine as long-term file storage after your rental ends. Before the term ends, export your projects, build artifacts, certificates and any logs you need. Data retention and deletion after expiry are governed by the service terms. If you need more time, confirm your renewal in the console beforehand.
You can check the upgrade process in the console. Commit 16 has an M4 chip, 16GB of memory and a 256GB built-in SSD; Commit 24 has an M4 chip, 24GB of memory and a 512GB built-in SSD. Back up your work and check delivery details for the new configuration before proceeding.
Yes. When you choose a daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly rental, use the matching term price for each add-on. Don’t use the daily rate as a monthly price. Review the add-ons, term and total again at checkout.
