Privacy Policy

Renting a dedicated physical Mac mini involves processing account, provisioning, and billing information. This policy explains where data comes from, how it is used, and how it is managed. Files on your host are handled separately from service records.

01Scope & data controller

This policy applies to personal information generated when you visit the VMCommit website, create an account, rent a dedicated physical Mac mini, or manage orders and request support through the Console. The entity operating VMCommit services determines the purposes and means of processing this information.

Account and order records are service operation data. Content you create, upload, or run on a rented host is host data. These data types are handled differently; Section 4 explains host data separately.

If you place an order on behalf of a team, please make sure the people who will use the host are informed about this policy. For privacy questions, contact us at support@vmcommit.com or sign in to the Console and submit a support ticket.

02Data we collect

Account and contact information. We process the email address and account identifier you use to register and sign in, as well as contact details you choose to include in support tickets. We use this information to identify your account, send provisioning and order notifications, and link support requests to the right order.

Order and rental records. We record your selected Commit 16 or Commit 24 plan, region, rental term, add-ons, provisioning and renewal status, and related billing records. These records are used to provision your dedicated physical machine, verify your service term, and resolve billing questions.

Payment processing information. Services are billed in USD. Accepted payment methods are USDT-TRC20 and Visa, Mastercard, or Amex processed by Stripe. We handle transaction status, identifiers, and amounts needed to confirm and reconcile payments. Card payments are processed by the relevant payment processor; USDT-TRC20 payments generate corresponding on-chain transaction records.

Technical logs. To provision hosts, troubleshoot connection issues, and protect the service, we may log request times, network addresses, device or browser details, and the results of sign-in and API activity. Technical logs help us diagnose faults and unusual access; they are not a means of proactively accessing files on your host.

03How we use data

We use order, configuration, and necessary account information to assign a dedicated physical node, provide your host address, connection details, and rental status, and display the relevant instance and billing information in the Console.

Payment and rental records help us confirm payments, calculate the selected rental term, process renewals, and investigate disputes. Technical logs help us restrict unusual access, troubleshoot SSH or VNC connection issues, and investigate activity that could affect service security.

We use emails and Console support tickets to understand your request, verify the relevant order, and respond. If we need more information to resolve an issue, we will explain what is needed. Please do not include project files or credentials unrelated to the issue in a support ticket.

04Data on your host

Each order provides one dedicated physical Mac mini, not a virtual machine sharing resources with other users. You own the code, models, build artifacts, and other content stored on your host. We do not proactively access this content or use it for purposes unrelated to operating the service.

You are responsible for managing your access credentials, project permissions, and backups. If investigating an issue you reported requires us to check a specific host status, we will first explain the necessary action in a support ticket and limit it to what is needed to resolve the issue.

Before your rental term ends, export any files you want to keep. Access, data retention, and deletion after expiry are governed by the service terms applicable to your order. Do not rely on storage on an expired host as a backup. If you have questions about the status of a specific order, submit a support ticket in the Console.

05Third parties & cross-border transfers

When you pay by card, Stripe processes the transaction information needed to complete the payment. USDT-TRC20 transactions are recorded on-chain. The payment processor and relevant network each retain necessary information under their own processing rules. We will not ask you to use a payment method that is not listed in this policy.

VMCommit physical nodes are located in Singapore, Japan (Tokyo), South Korea (Seoul), Hong Kong, the US East, and the US West. Your selected region determines where your host runs. Information needed for provisioning, account management, billing, or support may be transferred between the relevant operational systems and your selected region.

We share information only as necessary to provide the service, meet relevant obligations, or respond to valid legal requests. Before choosing a region, consider your team's data storage requirements. To ask about the processing path for a specific order, contact us through a Console support ticket.

06Retention & security

We generally retain account information while your account is in use. Order, payment, and support records are retained for as long as needed to process transactions, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. Technical logs are managed according to security and operational needs. Different categories of information may have different deletion timelines.

We use access controls, activity records, and appropriate data-in-transit protections to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to or changes to service data. Access to order and support information is limited to personnel who need it to perform their duties.

Handling files on a host after expiry is separate from retaining account records. If you want account information deleted or need to know whether a record still needs to be retained, tell us which account and records your request covers. We will review applicable obligations and explain what action we can take.

07Your data rights

You can ask to access account and order information we hold, correct inaccurate details, or obtain a copy of data we can provide. You can view and manage orders linked to your account in the Console. For information not shown there, submit a specific request through a support ticket.

You can also request deletion of personal information that is no longer needed, or export available records relating to you. Some order or transaction information may need to be retained temporarily because of an ongoing service, dispute handling, or applicable obligations. If so, we will explain why and outline the next steps.

To help prevent disclosure to unauthorized people, we may verify your account before processing an access, export, or deletion request. Send your request from the email address linked to your account to support@vmcommit.comor sign in to the Console and submit a support ticket, specifying the types of data you want us to handle.

08Cookies, updates & contact

The website and Console may use cookies or similar technologies needed to maintain sign-in sessions, perform security checks, and understand how pages are working. You can manage cookies in your browser; disabling essential cookies may affect sign-in and Console features.

If our services or data handling practices change, we will update this page and, when appropriate, notify you of significant changes through the website or your account contact channels. The version published here is the current policy. We recommend reviewing it before placing a new order.

For questions about this policy, to exercise your data rights, or to report a privacy concern, email support@vmcommit.comor sign in to the Console and submit a support ticket. The laws applicable to this policy are those of the jurisdiction where the platform operator is established. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts in that jurisdiction.
